PHOENIX, AZ – May 1, 2007 – Southern California Edison (SCE) has extended its association with Phoenix Mtg., Inc. (PMI) as a provider of equipment for their Energy Management Assistance Program (EMA) for calendar year 2007, according to Ms. Anne Wood, National Sales Manager for PMI. The program helps income-qualified households conserve energy and reduce their electricity costs. SCE pays all the costs of purchasing and installing energy-efficient appliances and equipment, which are free to eligible customers. PMI’s evaporative window coolers have been used as a product of choice for their low cost and energy-efficient operation. To qualify for EMA program measures, an SCE customer must meet the income qualifications listed, receive electric service through a residential electric meter in SCE's service territory, and have an SCE service account or be sub-metered under a master-meter SCE account. Measures are available to both homeowners and renters and renters must obtain homeowner permission. Customers may only receive EMA services once every ten (10) years. A market leader in the evaporative cooling industry for over 35 years, PMI manufactures a quality selection of evaporative coolers for residential, commercial and industrial applications. PMI products are marketed throughout North America. Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, PMI’s manufacturing facilities are located on a nine-acre site and include over 165,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space. Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc., is a subsidiary of Continental Materials Corporation, Chicago, IL, AMEX:CUO.
