PMI EMPLOYEES BEN TANNER & ROBERTO RAMOS TO RECEIVE BRONZE LEAN CERTIFICATIONS

PHOENIX, AZ - November 19, 2008 - PMI is proud to announce that Ben Tanner, Business Lean Manager for CWP, PMI's divisional group and Roberto Ramos, Supervisor of Fabrication and Welding for PMI were both recently notified they successfully passed the Bronze Lean Certification test. Both gentlemen will formally receive their certifications once they supply lean portfolios for review. The Business Lean philosophy is primarily a blend of innovation and problem solving designed to utilize tools and techniques of LEAN with ideation built-in to document business processes, generate ideas for improvement and implement the prioritized improvements in order to impact bottom-line results. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), and administrators of the Shingo Prize have collaborated with industrial and academic participants to develop the "Lean Certification" standard for manufacturing. "Ben and Roberto are about to join an exclusive group," Jay Washbourne, VP of Operations acknowledged. "As of May 2008, there were only 150 Bronze level Lean-certified individuals worldwide.
